A nature inspired homeschool enrichment program growing with your child through the seasons
We believe in the positive benefits of play and education through nature. We focus on play-based and experiential learning to nurture the whole child.

Our Mission
Seasons Nature School is a homeschool enrichment program that combines age appropriate classroom learning with the independence and flexibility of homeschooling. We believe in nurturing the development of the whole child alongside your family. For us, this means moving their bodies and establishing a sense of self confidence through free play in nature, helping them find their personal creativity through hands on experiences with the arts, and encouraging the social development that comes with learning in peer groups.
We want every child who comes through our program to feel cared for, respected, and empowered to be exactly who they have been uniquely created to be.
Our Program
We offer three or four days per week, 9-3:30, for K-5th graders. Our days will include core curriculum of language arts, math and science along with nature hikes, free play, baking, arts and crafts, wilderness skills and team sports. We are located on the northside of Columbia in a town called Theta.
Our Curriculum
We will be using The Good and The Beautiful curriculum for language arts and math. The short, open and go, format that builds upon the last lesson is why it’s a favorite for us. We have personally been using this for three years and it is tried and true. We are supportive of all cultures and religions and believe it is best taught at home. The Good and The Beautiful has some religious poetry that will be left out at school time but feel free to read at home if that’s what you’d like.
We will be using Noeo science curriculum which is hands on with a ton of science experiments the kids will love! This will also include Montessori style living books.
Social and emotional education for children is something that we are passionate about. We will be using the Slumberkins curriculum which focuses on giving children the vocabulary needed to express their feelings. We will also be helping the children better understand their emotions and the vast potential of their own minds through meditation and mindfulness exercises.
